Rauris International Rugby Festival - 19th -21st September 2008

Austrian Chalets and Candelisa Resorts were proud sponsors of the inaugural Rauris International Rugby Festival held over the weekend of 19th-12st September with over 150 players and coaches from four different countries attending the event. The weekend featured various sides from the host nation, including an Austrian team who played an international invitation XV and a wormens rugby tournament with sides from Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic.

The event was well attended by local families and dignitaries and for those budding rugby players the coaching sessions proved to be highly successful for adults and children alike.

Saturday evening proved extremely well attended with over 200 guests attending the Presentation Dinner at the Gastof Grimming, with celebrations continuing well into the early hours!

The weekend was extremely successful and hopefully this will become an annual event in the Rauris calendar.
